Vegas finally got what it wanted -- rain. But this kind of rain isn't going to turn the desert green, stop droughts or provide locals with a respite from the heat. It does, however, offer the ultimate nightclub experience. Rain Las Vegas is a 250,000-square-foot oasis with three levels and a state-of-the-art sound system. Lavish special effects throughout the club are created through the use of water, light and fog. Rain offers skyboxes for VIP seating (with thumbprint screening for members), cabana areas and water booths (where the patent-leather banquettes are actually filled with water). The real gem of the club, though, is the bamboo dance floor. While deep house and techno are pumped through the sound system, clubgoers feel like they're dancing on water as a computer-programmed river runs through the club, complete with dancing jets and fountains.
