Vesta is consistently named one of Denver's top restaurants by 5280 magazine, called one of "America's Best" by the venerable Zagat survey and has been lauded by Travel & Leisure and the Wall Street Journal. It's easy to see why Vesta garners such accolades: Blending sophistication with funky cool, the dining room is a mix of wood and wrought iron with accents of sultry red and brown. And though many bill it as a fondue restaurant, the ultra-modern spot wouldn't be caught dead serving up the gloppy cheeses of the fondue past. Rather, Vesta allows diners to pair skewers of meats and vegetables with a choice of 30 dipping sauces, each prepared with a light hand and lots of flavor. Signature dishes include ginger chile-seared tuna, roasted grilled half chicken and Moroccan grilled lamb loin, each served with three dipping sauces. Serving dinner nightly, Vesta draws an attractive downtown crowd to perch at the bar. The decor may be sensual but the busy restaurant's noise level often matches the food quality: high. For those needing a less bustling atmosphere, saunter outdoors for a sidewalk seat.

a chill atmosphere in the midst of downtown
By SPESCHL88 on 05/27/2008
I accidentally discovered vesta simply walking down the street. Now its a local spot for me because the bartenders knows be name, my drink and always buy a round for whomever I'm with. I only had one bad dinner their and they quickly corrected it with another superb dish. Hats off to all who work there....

Poor service, lousy sauce
By extremeboarderco on 09/20/2007
Went there with a few close friends, could not enjoy myself as I overheard the manager talk down about us behind our back. Server wasn't friendly at all, acted like she was better than us and we were a bother to her. Manager didn't believe the bottles of wine we bought we had actually bought. Brought them to the table, saw us, said there might have been a mistake, we said no there's not, manager came back a few minutes later and said we were right. Then the sauce, well, its not good. The server looked at me with horror as I said this, like I wasn't entitled to an opinion. Plus the meat was tough, not my idea of a good place to take out of towners, unless you don't want them to visit again. I could go on, but why waste any more of my time.

Lotsa sauce
By jwbehler on 08/15/2007
A hunk of not-too-tender lamb was made more enjoyable by testing nine different dipping sauces (there were 3 of us & each entree comes with choice of 3 dipping sauces). The killer, though, was the service. Once we got our food (which was none too quick), we were forgotten.

This is a must do in Denver
By jbbug on 01/30/2007
I visited Vesta again (5th time) and still found the wait staff to be wonderful & the food scruptious. There is not another place in Denver that serves up like Vesta & I have been here for over 50 yrs. . The sauces make the dining experience worth the drive from North Denver as well as the cost worth everything. I take my out of town guests & they just rave & want to go back next time. I say - it's a MUST! J. McFarlin
