This is the kind of Italian food we ate growing up: spaghetti, rigatoni, manicotti, mostaccioli, fettuccini, lasagna and ravioli, with a good red, mushroom or clam sauce and no pretensions. You can order a la carte, but if you're with a group of four or more hungry people, order family style. Choose two appetizers (we recommend the stuffed mushrooms and steamed mussels), two salads, two pastas (the veal and mushroom cannelloni and the pesto chicken linguini are the best), two main courses (the chicken Parmesan and the veal scallopine shine), two vegetables and two desserts (a dense New York-style cheesecake and the apple crostata are favorites). Everyone leaves with a large doggy bag filled with enough food for the entire weekend. The wine list, while not extensive, complements the food. The decor -- red-checkered table cloths, lots of dark wood and sepia-toned family pictures on the walls -- looks like New York's Little Italy in the early 1950s. Dino and Frank quietly croon in the background. Service is quick if you're in a hurry or slow if you want to linger.

i would like to say that i've been to a lot of italian restaurants, including some overseas. this place was up there in the top five. between my hubby's appetite and me being 6 months pregnant, i can truly say i was very satisfied, especially with the service. it was one of the best places to eat we've been to so far!

This is a company with little integrity when it comes to dealing with their customers. I had to return a dish back in February because the shrimp was barely pink and the linguine was overcooked to the point of being pasty. I was promised a refund by the executive chef of the Denver area. One follow-up call to the chef, and a call to the parent company to complain, and still no refund. I can only assume that the chef never meant to refund me, otherwise he'd have credited my card immediately instead of jotting down my credit card number. I have eaten at different Maggiano's locations nationwide this past year or two, and the food is consistent....consistently overcooked! They have lost this customer forever.
