Rate and Write a Review Located at the intersection of Beck and Mohawk streets in a restored Victorian structure which dates back to the 1850s, Lindey's literally has a corner on the Columbus dining scene. With high ceilings, old wood and big windows, the atmosphere is consistently interesting and somewhat boisterous. There are three separate rooms, with the front being most requested as it's in the center of the action. A recent renovation saw the addition of illustrations of cafes and oversized paintings as well as a general spiffing-up of chandeliers, mirrors and the bar. The food is as multifaceted as the atmosphere. Entrees range from familiars like shrimp and angel hair pasta to rack of lamb to market fresh fish with lobster butter sauce. Innovative dishes include Hunan-glazed pork chops, pecan-crusted tilapia and veal scallopini picatta. A wide variety of appetizers, soups and salads appeal to multitudinous preferences, although most should enjoy the "Post Mortem," coffee ice cream topped with Kahlua hot fudge sauce. And if that's not enough, there's weekend brunch and weekly jazz sessions during the fall and winter months.
