On the prowl for after-hours fun on the dance floor? Then squeeze into something chic, tight, leather, expensive, revealing or sparkly and join in the sexy fun at Liquid Lounge, an uptown hotspot for hip-hop, house and guest DJs from across the nation. Metal wall accents give off an industrial vibe, while the occasional risque theme party adds a whiff of kink to the scene. Don't let the pulsing urban dance beats make you forget this place is also a lounge: The dance floor is blessedly separate from the more sedate bar area, so you can sip one of Liquid's trademark martinis and still hear what your date has to say. The action starts late here: You can dance and drink anytime during club hours, but the real fun starts about an hour before midnight. -- Jennifer Saylor

Wall flowers

I am from NY, I have been to many NYC clubs. NYC clubs are giant, the size of opera houses so it is hard to compare. LL to me is basicly a street alley between 2 buildings with a long bar, very small dance floor and DJ. I guess the music depends on the DJ. I went this past weekend, the music was ok, some really good techno some really bad mixes. Clients, minimal sexy dressed women, the usual gaggle of gays and way to expensive drinks. A cosmo and some other drink ran 19$. Pricy for down here. The bar service sucked. 4 bartenders with no speed. And the bar was nasty, dozens of dirty glasses and garnishes just sitting out. Good for an opener bar, but move on tot he next.

Thursday is College Night

It's mostly the hottest Hip-hop in doors early with DJ Matt Bulick and to keep things fresh, DJ Suspence and Levi Brown throw down with House and Breaks out back on Charlotte's best outdoor patio. Hope to see ya there!

Needs Better Music

This clubs atomosphere is awesome until, the DJ messes it up with the techno stuff, two or three good songs gets people to the dance floor and then he screws it up with techno, everybody quits dancing until the top 40's comes back on, im no DJ but if i knew the music to play to get people out there, PLAY IT, dont just play techno for the three weirdos that can dance to it!!!

great bar, always a good time all the hotties go there on the weekend much better then the teeniebopper bars
