Do a little dance, make a little love and get down tonight at Have a Nice Day Cafe, Charlotte's home of '70s retro nightlife. This ultra-popular college hangout gets jiggiest between 10PM and 1AM, when long lines can snake around the block. Some clubgoers go for the Austin Powers/Foxy Cleopatra look, but most go for casual, sexy clubwear. In the end, just be sure to dress for a lack of AC and a crowded room full of sweaty bodies. Enjoy tacky '70s memorabilia everywhere you look, as well as equally retro tunes from ABBA, the Village People, KC and the Sunshine Band and other hitmakers from the age of polyester. There's no menu here, so fuel up somewhere else before you hit the dance floor or decide to order a Happy Bowl: a fishbowl full of high-proof punch equipped with long straws that inspire sharing.

Be Aware/Poor Management
By matney504 on 01/23/2007
Wallet stolen, management communicated the risk, and "not their responsibility". Very unprofessional. A waitress was helpful, we located it in a bathroom trashcan. cash taken all else still there. She said," it happens all the time"... Girls be aware of those around you.... and don't lay down for bag for a moment!

Quit Tripping People
By levampiressmarie on 01/28/2005
The club is very nice, my husband and I are regulars have been going since 2001. I have had a couple of bad nights but I still go back. We get to go about once a month. Very friendly atmosphere, Some of the bouncers are dicks but I can handle my own, so no problem there, depending on the DJ there is usually a good assortment of music actually dating all the way back to the 60's. We have seen it thru the remodeling, and I will continue to go as often as I can

Don't Go!!!
By andylou3198 on 01/27/2005
My wallet was stolen. The management didn't care. The drinks were VERY watered down! Music was alright, but not worth the money or time! Tell all your friends not to come!
